Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate carved out from the erstwhile district of Burdwan, West Bengal and started functioning from September 1, 2011.

Having completed almost 12 years of formation, I on behalf of Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate Police reascertain our committment to objectives of Crime Control, maintenance of Law & Order and Citizen – Centric Policing. It will be our endeavour to improve ourself and raise up to the challenges of the times.
