On 09.08.2026, the Closing Ceremony of the Special Road Safety Week 2026 was held at Burnpur Bharati Bhaban, Asansol, marking the culmination of a week-long campaign dedicated to promoting road safety and traffic awareness.
The programme was graced by the presence of Hon’ble MIC Smt. Agnimitra Paul, Commissioner of Police Asansol-Durgapur, District Magistrate Paschim Bardhaman, other senior police officers  along with enthusiastic participation from police personnel, teachers/students from different schools, representatives of the Bus Union, and other stakeholders.
Students from different schools presented musical performances, stage shows and dance, conveying important messages on traffic discipline and road safety. 
During the programme, Hon’ble MIC, Commissioner of Police and the District Magistrate addressed the gathering and emphasised the importance of responsible road behaviour, adherence to traffic rules and collective efforts towards making our roads safer.
Initiatives undertaken by the Traffic Police, ADPC, during the Special Road Safety Week 2026 were also presented in the event. 
The programme concluded with the prize distribution by Hon’ble MIC Smt. Agnimitra Paul to students who had participated in various activities.

আজ, ০৯.০৮.২০২৬ তারিখে আসানসোলের বার্নপুর ভারতী ভবনে ‘বিশেষ সড়ক নিরাপত্তা সপ্তাহ ২০২৬’-এর সমাপ্তি অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজিত হলো। সড়ক নিরাপত্তা ও ট্রাফিক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে সপ্তাহব্যাপী চলা এই প্রচার অভিযানের এটি ছিল চূড়ান্ত পর্ব।
অনুষ্ঠানটিতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মাননীয় মন্ত্রী (MIC) শ্রীমতি অগ্নিমিত্রা পাল, আসানসোল-দুর্গাপুর পুলিশ কমিশনার, পশ্চিম বর্ধমানের জেলাশাসক এবং অন্যান্য ঊর্ধ্বতন পুলিশ আধিকারিকরা। এছাড়াও পুলিশ কর্মী, বিভিন্ন স্কুলের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থী, বাস ইউনিয়নের প্রতিনিধি এবং অন্যান্য সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিরা অত্যন্ত উৎসাহের সাথে এই অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
বিভিন্ন স্কুলের শিক্ষার্থীরা সঙ্গীত পরিবেশন, মঞ্চানুষ্ঠান ও নৃত্যের মাধ্যমে ট্রাফিক শৃঙ্খলা ও সড়ক নিরাপত্তা বিষয়ক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বার্তা তুলে ধরে।
অনুষ্ঠান চলাকালীন মাননীয় মন্ত্রী, পুলিশ কমিশনার এবং জেলাশাসক উপস্থিত সকলের উদ্দেশ্যে বক্তব্য রাখেন। তাঁরা রাস্তায় দায়িত্বশীল আচরণ, ট্রাফিক নিয়ম মেনে চলা এবং সড়ককে আরও নিরাপদ করে তোলার লক্ষ্যে সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টার ওপর বিশেষ গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেন।
‘বিশেষ সড়ক নিরাপত্তা সপ্তাহ ২০২৬’ চলাকালীন ট্রাফিক পুলিশ (ADPC) যেসব উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করেছিল, সেগুলোও এই অনুষ্ঠানে তুলে ধরা হয়।
বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণকারী শিক্ষার্থীদের হাতে পুরস্কার তুলে দেওয়ার মধ্য দিয়ে অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তি ঘটে; পুরস্কার প্রদান করেন মাননীয় মন্ত্রী শ্রীমতি অগ্নিমিত্রা পাল।
আসুন, আমরা ট্রাফিক নিয়ম মেনে চলার, দায়িত্বশীলভাবে গাড়ি চালানোর এবং প্রতিটি যাত্রাকে নিরাপদ করে তোলার শপথ গ্রহণ করি।
