Today, Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate formally launched the Durga Suraksha Squad, aimed at strengthening proactive patrolling and rapid response to enhance women’s safety and security across the Commissionerate. The programme was graced by Smt. Agnimitra Paul, Hon’ble MIC, who formally flagged off the Squad. The Commissioner of Police, District Magistrate and other senior officers were also present on the occasion. The event also celebrated excellence through the Clean Police Station Competition Awards, based on a comprehensive assessment of all 17 Police Stations across the Commissionerate, with a focus on cleanliness, hygiene and overall upkeep of police station premises. Andal PS and Jamuria PS jointly secured the First Prize, while Pandaveswar PS received the Special Award in recognition of its exceptional efforts towards beautification and greenery. Sharing a few glimpses from the occasion! আজ, আসানসোল-দুর্গাপুর পুলিশ কমিশনারেট আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে 'দুর্গা সুরক্ষা স্কোয়াড'-এর সূচনা করল। কমিশনারেট এলাকায় নারীদের নিরাপত্তা ও সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যে সক্রিয় টহলদারি ও দ্রুত সাড়া প্রদানের ব্যবস্থাকে আরও জোরদার করাই এই স্কোয়াডের মূল উদ্দেশ্য। এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মাননীয় মন্ত্রী (MIC) শ্রীমতি অগ্নিমিত্রা পাল, যিনি আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে এই স্কোয়াডের যাত্রার সূচনা করেন। এছাড়াও অনুষ্ঠানে পুলিশ কমিশনার, জেলাশাসক এবং অন্যান্য ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তারা উপস্থিত ছিলেন। পাশাপাশি, কমিশনারেট এলাকার ১৭টি থানার পরিচ্ছন্নতা, স্বাস্থ্যবিধি ও সামগ্রিক রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের ওপর ভিত্তি করে আয়োজিত 'পরিচ্ছন্ন থানা প্রতিযোগিতা'-র পুরস্কার প্রদানের মাধ্যমে উৎকর্ষকেও স্বীকৃতি জানানো হয়। অন্ডাল থানা ও জামুরিয়া থানা যৌথভাবে প্রথম পুরস্কার অর্জন করে; অন্যদিকে, সৌন্দর্যবর্ধন ও সবুজায়নের ক্ষেত্রে অসাধারণ প্রচেষ্টার স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ পান্ডবেশ্বর থানা বিশেষ পুরস্কার লাভ করে। অনুষ্ঠানের কিছু মুহূর্ত এখানে তুলে ধরা হলো!
