Armed Police Branch of Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate has been set up with a view to keep supervision and control over the strength of Armed Branch Officers and force of this Commissionerate. The armed police is responsible for guarding of all vital installations under the Commissionerate & intervene in case of serious Law and Order problem. It is responsible for the up keeping of mental and physical fitness of the officers and force through its periodical training programmes. This branch is the custodian of all types Arms and Ammunitions of this Commissionerate and is responsible for the serviceability of those.
