  • A Yoga and Meditation Camp was organized at the Asansol Police Lines with Shri Surajit Ghosh of Ghosh Yoga Academy, Srirampur, Hooghly, leading the session.The event was successfully conducted with active participation from police personnel. The camp focused on promoting relaxation, stress relief, and rejuvenation of the mind and body, while fostering inner peace and overall well-being through a holistic approach to wellness.
  • On the Second and Final day of the 15th Annual Sports Competition of the Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate, The esteemed guests viz. Shri Ajay Nand, IPS, ADG&IG, CIF, WB, Shri Sunil Kumar Chowdhury, IPS, Commissioner of Police, ADPC and Shri Ponnambalam S., IAS, District Magistrate, Paschim Bardhaman and other dignitories were present. ADPC police personnel and their family members participated in the two-day grand event.
  • The 15th annual sports meet of the Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate was inaugurated by Shri Sunil Kumar Chowdhury, IPS, Commissioner of Police, ADPC. Glimpse of the joyful moments from the Day 1 of the meet.
  • Naman members enjoyed a fun-filled day at the newly renovated Gunjan Park as part of community policing initiatives. The event included picnic activities, engaging games, and a thoughtful blanket distribution ceremony, fostering community bonding and warmth.
  • The International Meditation Day being observed at Asansol Police Lines.
  • The renovated Gunjan Ecological Park was inaugurated by Shri Sunil Kr Choudhary, IPS, Commissioner of Police, in the presence of Shri Ponnambalam S., IAS, District Magistrate and zonal DCPs of ADPC on 08.12.25. The park is a popular attraction for natural beauty and offers a wide range of amusements for children
  • The 63rd Home Guard Raising Day was celebrated with a spectacular parade at Asansol Police Lines. The event was graced with the presence of the Dy. Commissioner of Police (HQ) and other senior officers of ADPC.
  • Ambulance services are now available on Yatri Sathi in APP in Paschim Bardhaman. Yatri Sathi now ensures affordable emergency transport in addition to existing bike, auto and cab services.
  • A prize distribution programme for the Safe Drive Save Life (SDSL) initiative was organised for awarding Durgapuja organizers.

  • Durgapuja Carnival 2025 Asansol
  • The Durga Puja was inaugurated by the Honorable Police Commissioner Shri Sunil Kumar Chowdhury IPS and other dignitaries at the Police Lines of Durgapur Police Commissionerate, Asansol.
  • CM of West Bengal, virtually inaugurated Durga Puja 2025 on September 21, as part of her larger initiative to inaugurate over 3,000 pujas across the state. Under this Commissionerate, 14 pujas were virtually inaugurated.
  • Shri Sunil Kumar Choudhary IPS, CP ADPC, graced the occasion by inaugurating the Vishwakarma Puja at Asansol Police lines. This auspicious day was marked by the Community Policing Initiative, during which clothes were distributed to the underprivileged and senior citizens.
  • The Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate convened a coordination meeting for Durga Puja Festival 2025 with the East Zone committees. Senior officials, including the Commissioner of Police, District Magistrate, MIC Shri Pradeep Majumdar, MLA Shri Narendranath Chakraborty, and other dignitaries, deliberated on key aspects. Cheques were presented to the Puja Committees. Best wishes for a joyous and safe Durga Puja celebration.
  • The Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate organized a coordination meeting for Durga Puja Festival 2025 with Central and West Zone committees. Key stakeholders, including the District Magistrate of Paschim Bardhaman, Commissioner of Police, Zonal DCPs and officials from PWD, Fire , Health and other departments delivered their valuable insights.Additionally, cheques were presented to 9 Puja Committees. We extend our warm wishes to all for a joyous and Safe Durga Puja.
  • Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate celebrated Police Day, honoring the dedication and hard work of its officers and personnel. The ceremony took place in the presence of Shri Sunil Kumar Choudhary, IPS, Commissioner of Police, and Dr. Arvind Anand, IPS, DCP HQ, along with other senior officers.
