Traffic department has been entrusted with the responsibility of Traffic management of the entire Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate. It ensures free flow of traffic, enforces traffic regulation and provides traffic education to the common people by arranging awareness programmes. For proper execution of supervision a proposal to divide entire Commissionerate area into 11 Traffic Guard and 04 Traffic Zone sent to PD, West Bengal by C.P, ADPC. But now 08 Traffic Guard and 02 Sub- Traffic Guard are operational. 05 numbers of Highway Mobile are operational on NH2 from Muchipara To Duburdihi Check Post from 08.00 hrs. to 20.00 hrs.Tango Mobiles are introduced in Traffic Guard by providing Govt. Motor Cycle to every Traffic Officer attached with each Traffic Guard of Sub- Traffic Guard.
