The Enforcement branch is a specialised wing of the Commissionerate, set up with a view to keep special watch on the implementation of the Control orders issued by the Govt. From time to time on Essential Commodities like controlled Rice, Sugar, Kerosene Oil, Liquified Petroleum Gas (Domestic) etc. Apart from that E.B. also investigates cases related to Essential Commodities Act and cases relating to financial misappropriation.
