  • Some miscreants attempted to rob a house in Hill view area under Asansol South police station. During the investigation a motorcycle without a number plate was seized from one of the four accused arrested in that case. After interrogation, the bike thief was arrested from Mohishila area of Asansol today and five more motorcycles were seized from him. The accused has confessed that he stole these motorcycles from different areas.

  • Detection within 24 hours On 24.01.25 at 10 am, two accused persons entered the residence of a businessman Subir Basu in Asansol with high-quality firearms. However, due to the screams and resistance of the owner and the caretaker of the house, the accused persons escaped. A specific case was registered in this incident at Asansol South Police Station and 4 accused persons were arrested on 25.01.25. During the arrest, a country-made 9 mm pistol and 6 rounds of bullets, 4 mobile phones, a Suzuki Franks car and a Honda Shine motorcycle without number plate were recovered from them. The arrested accused persons confessed that they had planned the robbery in collaboration with 3-4 other persons from Bihar after getting information about the presence of a huge amount of cash in the victim's house. Today, the 4 arrested accused persons have been taken to police custody for 10 days.
