  • 79th Independence Day Celebrated at Police Office
  • In the esteemed presence of Shri Sunil Kumar Choudhary, Commissioner of Police, and DCP Traffic, a vibrant event was held at Rabindra Bhawan, Asansol. The celebration, marking Road Safety Week, witnessed enthusiastic participation from school students, who creatively showcased the importance of traffic rules and regulations through their performances.
  • The newly renovated buildings of the Kanyapur Investigation Centre, including the Investigation Officer Room, Duty Officer Room, In-Charge Chamber and meeting area were inaugurated by the Hon’ble Commissioner of Police Shri Sunil Kumar Choudhary, IPS in presence of Sri Dhruba Das, IPC, DC, Central, ADPC. The ceremony was marked by a tree plantation program.

  • On 15.05.2025, Commissioner of Police, ADPC, Shri Sunil Kumar Chaudhary, distributed summer kits to the traffic personnel of Asansol-Durgapur Police. These kits, aimed at ensuring protection and hydration during the summer heat, highlight a commendable welfare effort. Acknowledging their dedication, the Commissioner applauded the traffic unit's consistent service under tough weather conditions. The event saw the presence of DCP Traffic, ADC, ACPs Traffic, and other ADPC Traffic officers and personnel.
  • On 15.05.25, a special felicitation ceremony was organized by Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate in honor of the students who ranked in WBBSE, WBCHSE & ICSE Board in Central Zone this year. Our Hon'ble Shri Dhruba Das, IPS DCP Central, ACP Central- I, IC South PS, OC Asansol North and other police officials and meritorious students with their guardians were present at the ceremony.
  • Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate celebrated the academic achievements of Durgapur Zone's top students in the WBBSE, WBCHSE, and ICSE boards with a special felicitation ceremony on May 9, 2025. The event was attended by esteemed guests, including DCP East Shri Abhishek Gupta, IPS, ACP Durgapur, ACP Kanksa, and other senior police officials, along with the meritorious students and their proud parents.
  • On 26/04/2025 Community Centre cum Training Centre which was constructed by Asansol Durgapur Development Authority at Asansol Police Line, Paschim Bardhaman, has been inaugurated by Shri Moloy ghatak, Hon’ble Minister Law & Judiciary and Department of Labour, Govt of W.B in gracious presence of Shri Sunil Kumar Choudhary, Ld. Commissioner of Police, ADPC, Shri Kabi Dutta, Chaiman ADDA and others.

  • On 27th March 2025 a theft occurred at Nagmani Sharmas house in Durgapur while she was out of station. Rs. 1.5 lakh and 25 bhories of gold were stolen from her wardrobe locker. During investigation suspicious calls between her residential maid Dipu Sharma and a woman named Dipa Yadav from Delhi was revealed With technical analysis Durgapur police reached to the Railway Station at Durgapur where they recovered the entire stolen cash and jewellery from the said maids briefcase.

  • Training program for the first batch of 28 police personnel of ADPC on the topic First Responder Training on Cyber Crime Management has been completed today.
  • Asansol South PS recovered more than 80 lost mobile handsets and handed over the handsets to the respective owners in presence of Shri Dhruba Das IPS DC Central ADPC and Shri Biswajit Naskar WBPS ACP Central I ADPC.
  • ASANSOL CYBER PS BUSTED A INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL ARREST SCAM
  • A team from the DD ADPC along with the team of Sanctoria IC acting on source information, conducted surveillance at Disergarh Bus Stand under Kulti PS jurisdiction.
  • During investigation of this case all the above noted accused persons confessed their guilt implicating themselves in this case and confessed also that if they get a chance they would help Police to collect more evidence of this case and to recover the remaining cash.
  • SDSL awareness program co-jointly organised by civil administration and Asansol South Traffic Guard. A rally was taken out in which about 250 students, Teachers, Police personnel participated with the message to maintain.
